Before I talk about why I prefer no equipment exercises I would first like to share what are no equipment exercises? No equipment Exercises are the ones that can be done at home or outside in nature. No extra expenses, no gym membership, and lots of privacy. That means if I want to stay healthy and fit I can do so without any excuses 🙂 .
My No Equipment Workout routine:
I work out at home for 60 minutes every day which first includes 30 minutes of cardio, and another 30 minutes of workout focused on every body part.
First 5 minutes of warming up – slow jumping and walking around the house.
Next 30 minutes– Jogging in place and sometimes I move while jogging within the space available in my home.
Next 5 minutes of cooling down – where I feed breakfast to my baby (Believe me I don’t sit because I run after her to feed her, she has learnt to jog while watching me for the past one year 🙂 ).
Another 20 minutes abs – this is the main area I focus because after childbirth abs need more attention. This routine includes a variety of crunches for example: regular crunches, half crunches, bicycle crunches, side crunches and so on.
Another 10 minutes of workout includes – squats, chair squat pose, planks and Donkey kick.
Again 5 minutes of cooling down- my baby turns on the music and makes me dance to the tunes so that she is entertained 🙂 .
I am able to take care of my baby during that time, able to attend phone calls and sometimes I am also able to respond to the followers of my blog. Doesn’t this sound amazing? You can maintain your fitness and yet pay attention to all the important work and not neglect your little one as well.
I don’t have to worry about any specific time of exercising though I mostly prefer mornings so that my metabolism starts functioning early and I can plan my meals for the day. I am not dependent on weather at all since I am exercising at home, I don’t have to worry about gym membership or get injured with heavy equipments, I don’t have to spend dollars as well.
By now, you must have understood why I prefer No Equipment Exercises. Always try to bring some changes to your exercise routine to keep yourself motivated. Any physical activity in a certain rhythm and for a consistent no of minutes is exercise and in this way you save lots of money as well.
For example:
Aerobics
Stairs climbing
Any sports activity
Hiking and trekking
Yoga
