Stress as we all know puts us off track from our normal selves. It has a kind of crippling effect on our mind and body. When in stress we tend to eat and use food as a stress reliever but have you ever tried exercising while in stress? I have, and it worked so well for me.
I exercise regularly but when I am stressed I often push myself a little further. It invariably has a positive effect on me and as a result I end up with a lot of confidence with renewed energy and hopefulness. When I feel low or demotivated I push myself to exercise. I love cardio exercises and so I focus on cardio more. In less than 30 minutes I start enjoying it and forget all about my worries. I am filled with motivation, happiness, new ideas and determination to fight with the situation. If we focus a little we can avoid unhealthy eating even when we are in stress and make exercise a stress buster.
The science behind the whole experience is quite simple. When we exercise like cardio, yoga, strength, weight or any other form of exercise, our mind releases endorphin which is the good chemical. This good chemical helps to uplift our moods, makes us feel happy because endorphin triggers the positive feeling inside us. The endorphin chemical is released naturally in our brains and flows all through our mind and body thereby providing us with confidence and motivation.
Of course, in case of severe depression or stress medical help should be sought. If you feel stressed about your everyday work schedule or anxious about daily normal routine things, then exercise can be considered to be a great remedy as a stress reliever.
