How To Boost Your Energy

At some point or the other we all have faced the feeling of being ‘drained out of energy’ and the urge to boost our energy quickly to function through the day. Sustained energy and stamina all day long reflect good health and fitness which we can say are natural energy boosters.

Here are some of the tips on how to boost your energy.

1.Exercise is the best solution to almost all the health and fitness problems. Doing cardio increases the stamina and energy. Strength training increases the lean muscles and provides increased flow of blood all over the body. Any form of exercise like , spinning classes, Zumba, aerobics, circuit training, yoga and so on will boost your energy naturally and keep you energized at all times.

2.Eating regularly and healthy food helps in boosting your energy levels.  Never skip your breakfast and include more protein into your diet. This will keep your sugar levels in place thereby providing you with energy all day. Not to forget that eating breakfast also helps in boosting metabolism and thereby helps in reducing weight.

3.Snacks at regular intervals are important to keep yourself energized and provide your body with required fuel but snacking should be healthy and should contain fruits, nuts, dairy and protein.

4.Stay hydrated with plain water or pure coconut water. Reduce your alcohol intake and sugar loaded beverages. Lack of water dehydrates your body thereby making you tired and leaves you with a miserable feeling. Recommended 8 glasses of water throughout the day keeps your energy levels intact and also provides moisture to your skin for it to glow and shine.

5.Sleep very well at night. Peaceful quality sleep helps your body and mind recover from a tired day and boost your energy to achieve your goals for the new day.

6.Take a break from your regular schedule and indulge in some interesting activities. Sometimes our mind gets bored from the monotony of the regular schedule and so it becomes very important for us to take a break and indulge in our hobbies which refreshes our mind and body, provides happiness and promotes required energy levels for the new goals to be achieved.

Staying hydrated is probably the most important one for me. On the days I forgot to fill up my water at the start of the day, I’m always dragging with a killer headache by 3 pm!

My favorite tip is number three. I keep telling my husband we won’t binge eat so much and stop being so tired all the time if we just snaked between meals.

It’s hard to get enough sleep sometimes as a parent of lots of littles, but the clean eating and exercise make a huge difference in my energy level. Now if I can just remember that through the holidays.

Great advice, I could use some energy right now. With a 6-month-old that appears to be suffering from a daylight savings induced sleep regression, it’s been a long week this week!

Staying hydrated always helps me stay energetic. It is also important to take a break and ready. Our bodies do need time to recharge.

I actually started exercising again, trying to eat better and drink more water daily. When I exercise I do feel better and more energized!

I do most of those things pretty well, except for the one that is probably the most important. I don’t get enough exercise. I hope that moving to a warmer climate will help me get out and walk more.
