It’s a general myth that vegans are deficient in protein. Here I found 10 Vegan Tempeh Recipes That Will Fulfill Your Protein Requirements. There are many sources from where we derive our protein requirements. My attempt is always to find healthy and nutritious plant based ingredients to incorporate in our diet.

Tempeh is one of my search which made me fall I love with it immediately. Tempeh is a soy based food and made from slightly fermented soy. Many a times , in stores, we find tempeh that is a combination of soy and some healthy grains. Therefore, making it all the more wholesome and desirable. Furthermore, Tempeh is different in texture and taste from tofu although both are soy products. Tempeh is more dense and chewy in texture. It is low in fat and high in protein.  I have few recipes with Tempeh in my blog and we loved it. Tempeh originated in Indonesia and is very popular in Asia.

    Even though I am vegan, I don’t eat that much tempeh. I am particular in how it is prepared, and I am more of a tofu fan. I will definitely be checking these out to see if I would like to add these to my repertoire!

    These recipes look really great. And yes-it’s a total myth that it’s difficult to get enough protein as a vegetarian or vegan! I definitely get plenty. 🙂
