Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a saucepan or a large pot and add cauliflower florets in it. Turn off the flame and let them rest in the hot water. As soon as the florets soften drain them and keep aside.
  • In a blender, combine cooked cauliflower florets, coconut milk, habanero pepper, garlic, nutritional yeast, oregano, salt, black pepper and sugar. Blend it smooth.
  • Heat olive oil in a nonstick pan and pour the blended sauce in it. Stir at intervals and cook until it starts to thicken.
  • Lower the flame and toss in cooked spaghetti and mix well until its well coated.
  • Turn off the flame and garnish with fresh parsley and garlic powder. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You may want to make sure to remove the seeds from habanero peppers very well. These peppers are extremely hot and spicy so I would recommend wearing gloves while handling these peppers.
  • You may measure cauliflower florets before boiling in water.
  • This recipe tastes best when served immediately. However, the leftovers can be refrigerated in an air-tight container for about 1-2 days. Warm it well before serving.
  • The sauce can be made ahead of time and refrigerated separately in an air-tight glass container for up to 4-5 days.
