Dill Edamame Snack

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen edamame in pod [defrosted]
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried garlic
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt or as per taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • Boil water in a saucepan and add a pinch of salt and blanch edamame in it. Turn off and drain.
  • In a small mixing bowl combine cinnamon powder, cardamom powder, turmeric powder, dill, cayenne pepper, garlic, onion powder and salt and mix with a spoon. Keep it aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a nonstick pan and add white sesame seeds. Once the seeds start to crackle add the dill mix into the pan and saute for 30 seconds.
  • Add blanched edamame and saute very well until each pod is coated with the spice mix.
  • Lastly, add 1 tsp lemon juice and mix well. Cook in a low flame for couple of minutes and serve warm.
