- 1/2 cup pomegranate kernels (fresh/frozen)
- 1 whole ripe plum (seed removed)
- 4 large fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp maple syrup/agave
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup crushed ice
- I usually don't strain this smoothie for myself to include fiber in my diet. But feel free to strain it or enjoy as is.
- For non-vegan version you may use honey as a sweetener as the same measurement mentioned in the recipe for maple syrup.
- For kids, make sure to strain it as they may not like to chew on pomegranate seeds.
- This smoothie tastes best when served immediately.
