Superfood Green Smoothie is a delightful post workout recovery drink. It is a nutrition loaded powerhouse beverage with utmost combination of super-foods and greens. This smoothie is definitely a desirable beverage after a workout and a natural way to consume all the goodness of proteins, carbohydrates and not to forget the good fats.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped cucumber (peeled)
  • 1/2 of whole avocado
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 4 pitted dates
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1 tbsp slivered almonds

Instructions

  • In a blender combine all the ingredients (except slivered almonds) and blend well.
  • Pour the smoothie into the serving glasses and mix in slivered almonds.
  • Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the amount of water depending how thin you want your drink. However this recipe is for a thick and creamy and easily drinkable with a straw. You can also make it thicker and enjoy it as a smoothie bowl.
  • Also if you like your smoothie sweeter add couple of more dates while blending the smoothie.
